BANGALORE, Karnataka (SAR NEWS) – Archbishop Bernard Moras of Bangalore has urged priests and nuns to shun corruption.

Addressing a gathering of over a thousand religious persons at ‘Sanyasa Sangama’ in Bangalore January 5, he said, “We, religious, are called to live a life of love, love of God and our mission.

“Corruption of values has crept even into our personal lives as religious. We should root out such corruption and renew our commitment to God and our religious life,” he said.

This year being the Year of Youth in the Archdiocese of Bangalore, the prelate urged the religious to pray for young men and women and help them in their spiritual quest.

Sanyasa Sangama is an annual gathering of religious nuns, priests and brothers living in Bangalore to renew their consecration to religious life.
